Addiction Awareness Task Force Members Present at National Summit

Last week, two members from the Addiction Awareness Task Force were guest speakers at the National Rx Drug Abuse Summit. Gloucester Township Police Chief Harry Earle and Pharmacist Bill Lynch presented “Community Responses to Heroin and Drug Addiction”.

The summit is the largest national collaboration of professionals from local, state and federal agencies, business, academia, clinicians, treatment providers, counselors, educators, state and national leaders, and advocates impacted by Rx drug abuse and heroin use.

By bringing together the top professionals across the spectrum, the summit is advancing a much needed, multifaceted approach to combating the drug abuse epidemic across the country.

On Tuesday, March 29, 2016 President Barack Obama attended the summit and announced new initiatives during a panel discussion. Read more about President Obama’s new initiatives.
